Our Mission

We believe language learning should feel human, joyful, and deeply connected to real life—never like memorizing a cold dictionary alone.

For too long, heritage languages like Tigrinya were left behind by modern educational technology, while Tigrinya speakers learning English were forced to study through apps built for other languages—without a single explanation in their own mother tongue. We founded Lingua Habesha at SenaySoft to close both of those gaps with the care, linguistic rigor, and cultural pride our community deserves.

Real human voices over robotic synthesis. A translation can tell you what a sentence means on paper, but only a real native speaker can show you its warmth, cadence, and everyday rhythm. That is why we invest in authentic native-speaker videos and studio audio across our dialogues, phrasebooks, and vocabulary examples rather than taking shortcuts with lifeless robotic voices.

Interactive Ge'ez literacy for every generation. We believe every child and adult in the diaspora should feel the spark of reading Ge'ez (ፊደል) directly—seeing how strokes, stems, and vowel circles come together in harmony, exploring rich plurals and gender concords, and speaking with elders without hesitation.

AI that empowers human connection. Technology should never replace human conversation—it should give you the courage to step into it. Our AI-assisted pronunciation and speaking tools are crafted with contrastive Tigrinya–English phonetic awareness so learners can practice out loud in private, build muscle memory, and walk into a family gathering, clinic, or job interview ready to speak.
